Congratulations! You're on your way to feeling better. After your procedure, you should take it easy for the rest of the day. Most patients will feel great the next day and can return to their usual activities.
If you have been inactive for a while due to your condition, it is important to ease back into your usual activities. Even being laid up in bed for a week or two can cause significant deconditioning and make you more prone to injury.
Mild side effects such as minimal bleeding on the bandage and injection sight soreness occassionally occur. Most soreness responds to over the counter medications, such as Motrin or Tylenol.
If you have worrisome symptoms, such as bleeding or excessive drainage contact our office or seek medical attention.
For many patients, the pain may be gone the next day. However, most patients will be able to tell a difference by at least 4-5 five days. About a week after your procedure, call us to schedule a follow up—even if you’re doing great.
